Pink Lady

In this piece, I focused more on color and value. Unlike the other  Dancers' paintings, I started with a white surface. I wanted to start that away to get the lightest lights in the painting. Rather than painting a based color wet-on-wet first, I let the paper dry after being stretched onto the stretchers. Strategically, I applied bright primary colors first and then went darker. The sense of light in this painting comes from within the dancers.
